Community Foundation lends a helping hand

(Left to right) Yvette Lawson, Ashley Kozich, Jennifer Bryan, Mark Kotler, Andria Baker and Sherese James-Grow from the Community Foundation of Broward volunteer at the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

A cheerful team from the Community Foundation had fun volunteering at the Salvation Army’s downtown Fort Lauderdale facility on Dec. 13.

Our holiday helpers sorted toys and took on other volunteer duties at the Salvation Army’s  Angel Tree program, which provides Christmas gifts to underserved youth in Broward.

Each year the Salvation Army provides gifts for more than 1,500 families, relying on volunteers to help spread this holiday cheer to as many households as possible. The Community Foundation was thrilled play a part in helping the Salvation Army accomplish its important mission.
