Celebrating Our Departing Board Members

November 28, 2023
Outgoing Community Foundation of Broward Board Members Jane Bolin, Al Fernandez, Paige Hyatt, David Scully and Kurt Zimmerman will be exiting the Board after completing their terms at the end of 2023.

The Community Foundation of Broward is forever grateful to the five BOLD leaders who are exiting our Board of Directors after graciously volunteering their time and effort to champion local philanthropy.

Our outgoing Board members – Jane Bolin, Al Fernandez, Paige Hyatt, David Scully and former Chair Kurt Zimmerman – each helped guide our organization through transformative years and directed philanthropy that leaves a BOLD, lasting community impact.

During their time on the Board, we created a new five-year strategic plan to lift the Community Foundation to new heights, raised $350 million for the BE BOLD Leadership Campaign and began an exciting new chapter for the Community Foundation with the launch of the Broward Center for Nonprofit Excellence.

While their Board terms are ending, these community leaders will remain important members of the Community Foundation family. We look forward to welcoming them to our special events for former Board members and many other Community Foundation functions. And we are proud to remain their local philanthropy partner, helping them amplify their impact for the community they love. Thank you for all you do for our community!

"I'm so thankful for the dedication of these five dynamic leaders who helped shape the Community Foundation we know today and put us on the path to continued success," said Community Foundation President Jennifer O'Flannery Anderson, Ph.D. "I know they will continue to champion local philanthropy and provide us with wise counsel."
