The journey towards leadership excellence that results in the remarkable achievements of graduation from the inaugural class of the American Express Leadership Academy at the Community Foundation of Broward provides you with the opportunity to join our alumni. 

Graduates’ leadership journey continues through this program as the Foundation continues to help you navigate the complexities of leadership. This program has been designed exclusively for all local Community Foundation of Broward Leadership Institute Alumni who participate in the American Express Leadership Academy.

As a graduate you will have opportunities to build upon the knowledge, skills and team building you experienced in the Leadership Academy so you can achieve the personal and organizational goals you established during the program.  Below are the 2015 Alumni benefits.


Leadership Circles

Struggling with an issue or ideas you are exploring and wish you had a small group
of your peers to serve as a sounding board? Leadership Circles are intimate cohortled
sessions where you and your Alumni peers will bubble up real-time topics and
uncover solutions that position you for success. Breakfast sessions will be held from
8:30-10:00 a.m. at Community Foundation offices on the follwing dates:

Global Alumni Resources

Earlier this year, the leadership at the American Express Foundation formally launched the American Express Leadership Academy Alumni Network. It is a platform for nonprofit leaders from diverse organizations and geographies to collaborate on key challenges, opportunities and issues in order to positively impact the sector. To connect and network with the global and notable group of world-class nonprofit leaders, you now have access to:
 
LinkedIn Group – over 865 alumni have already joined this private group that includes a number of provocative discussions and active subgroups.

Leadership Forum – Set to launch in the third quarter of 2015, this website will offer best practices in nonprofit leadership and a forum for blogging, posting opportunities, and sharing leadership testimonials.

Take advantage of Nova Southeastern University’s Executive Education at a significantly discounted rate. This is a great way to drill down on core leadership competencies to propel you toward success.
