Step 2: Read the FAQ, frequently asked questions and tips for a strong nomination, to help you make the strongest case for your For Good Award nominee. We have divided the FAQs into questions about the selection criteria and questions about the application questions.  When you get to the section about the application, go to:

Step 3: Download the Nomination Worksheet (a MS Word document), read the questions and determine if your nominee’s story can be told through answers to these questions. We provide additional insight into selection and reviewing criteria in the FAQs and believe that, with this reference, you will be adequately guided through the process. We now hope you plan to continue with your submission and will go to:

Step 4: Create a log-in account.  Nominations will be submitted through the Community Foundation of Broward’s existing online application system called Philnet. Selection process

The multi-stage process is designed to evaluate all candidates fairly. Staff reviewers, selection panel or board members whose relationship might pose a possible conflict of interest will recuse themselves.

Nominations are received until midnight, EST, October 21, 2011.

All nominations received by the deadline are evaluated for completeness.  References and nominees are contacted for additional information.

A community selection panel evaluates the candidates.  This will include a review of accuracy of story and impact and may include a personal interview. The Selection Panel ranks the finalists, and selects the winner and two honorable mention winners.
