Bob began his career as a dancer and was in more than a dozen Broadway shows including WEST SIDE STORY and FUNNY GIRL. In 1976 he received a Tony Award as co-choreographer of A CHORUS LINE.  He did the musical staging for the London and Broadway productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber's SUNSET BOULEVARD, receiving his sixth Tony nomination. Bob Avian is a proud member of the board of the Miami City Ballet.
